Information we process
When you connect a league or draft, Draft Raccoon processes league settings, team and manager display names, draft order, roster slots, player pool information, picks, and the team you select or that the provider identifies as yours. An anonymous session identifier keeps your reports separate from other visitors.
Browser extension access
The extension runs only on supported ESPN, Sleeper, and Draft Raccoon pages listed in its manifest. Normal private-league reads use your existing ESPN session inside Chrome. If you explicitly choose Connect background refresh, the extension sends the minimum ESPN session values needed for read-only league requests to Draft Raccoon through a short-lived, single-use pairing bound to your signed-in Draft Raccoon account. Draft Raccoon never asks for your ESPN password and cannot place picks, change a lineup, submit a claim, or accept a trade.
Local and server storage
- Your selected league or team, cached ranking snapshot, and completed report link may be stored in browser or extension storage.
- Draft state and generated reports are stored in the Draft Raccoon production database and scoped to your browser session or Draft Raccoon account.
- When you opt into private ESPN background refresh, Draft Raccoon encrypts the saved ESPN session before storing it, stores the latest successful normalized league snapshot separately, and uses the session only for required read-only ESPN requests. The encryption key is kept outside the database.
- Operational logs may include request IDs, route names, response status, and bounded error codes. Provider passwords, raw ESPN sessions, and authorization tokens are excluded from application logging.
Website analytics
Draft Raccoon uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand anonymous page traffic, referrals, device categories, site performance, extension-store clicks, and whether draft-review flows start or finish. Coarse campaign labels can be kept in this browser tab’s session storage to connect a visit with later product events. Samples and deliberate internal testing are excluded from report-use events. Analytics events do not include league URLs, report identifiers, manager names, draft data, passwords, or provider cookies. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies or associate analytics with an individual or IP address.
Sharing and third parties
Draft Raccoon contacts ESPN and Sleeper to read league or draft information and uses Vercel and Neon to run the website and database. It does not sell personal information or use draft data for advertising. A Draft Review stays private to the browser session that created it until its owner chooses Copy share link. That unlisted link can be opened by anyone who receives it and may include league, team, and manager display names supplied by the provider.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Draft Raccoon's use and transfer of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Draft data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed live guidance and Draft Review features. It is not used for personalized advertising, sold to third parties, or made available for human review except with your explicit consent for support, for security, or when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Local extension data can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing its site data. Disconnecting a background ESPN league deletes its stored encrypted session and stops future refreshes; it does not revoke ESPN's own browser session. ESPN may expire that session and require a computer reconnect. To request deletion of a server-stored Draft Review during the beta, use the contact path on the Support page and include the report URL and approximate creation time. Do not send ESPN cookies, sessions, or passwords to support.
Product changes
This policy may change as DraftRaccoon adds account features or new providers. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date on this page.
